Community Event: Knit-a-thon
On Saturday 31st July QUT Golden Key is holding a knit-a-thon! Come along, learn a new skill, make new friends and most importantly, do something special for someone in need. We are knitting scarves and donating them to charity - no experience necessary. Expert advice and wool is provided, just bring knitting needles, a picnic blanket and your heart.

QUT GK End of Semester 'Speakeasy' Party - June
The Golden Key Speakeasy Social, on the 25th of June, was attended by more than 30 people and was a great way to celebrate the end of exams and the semester by dusting off some roaring 20's gear and heading to the Limes rooftop for a few drinks.

QUT GK End of Semester 'Speakeasy' Party - May
This year help us to celebrate the end of exams (and our freedom to publicly purchase alcoholic drinks) in 1920's style at the QUT Golden Key Speakeasy Party. Previously, tickets to our social events have sold out in advance, so make sure you get in early! Get your friends together for a fun-filled night at an exclusive Brisbane venue.

Are you an employer and want to be notified of any corporate events held by the QUT Golden Key Chapter? Let our corporate chairpersons know your details and we'll add you to our corporate mailing list. These events allow corporates to network with the top 15% of QUT students across a range of fields and help students to meet potential employers, ask questions and get to know the industry a little more.

Welcome back for 2010, January QUT GK Meeting
It's 2010 and QUT GK's first meeting for the year has been scheduled for the 18/01/10 to be held in A208 (QUT Garden's Point campus) at 5:45pm. The meeting is expected to run for at least 60-90 minutes.

Honorary Members (2009 - 2010)
QUT Golden Key would like to welcome four new Honorary Members:
Every year, on campuses around the globe, a small group of Honorary Members are inducted into Golden Key. Honorary Membership is conferred to recognise faculty, administrators and community leaders who have excelled in their research, teaching profession or service.
The Queensland University of Technoplogy Chapter would like to welcome four exceptional role models as Honorary Members for the upcoming year:

An End to Sponsorships - 10 December, 2009
The QUT Chapter of Golden Key will no longer be able to request or accept any future sponsorships as a result of new international by-laws. On behalf of the QUT Chapter of Golden Key we would like to thank all of our Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors for 2008 - 2009 for their support over this annual term and would like to encourage you all to continue attending our events and meeting new members.
Our QUT Chapter Office has Moved! - November 2009
Our office has now been moved to Level 7 of Z-Block, Room Z-747. If you would like to speak to an Executive in person please make an appointment. Mail can also be sent to this address.

Transitions
The 2009 Executive Team for Golden Key's QUT Chapter will bid its farewell on the 1st of January, 2010. The 2010 Executive Team will then be formally introduced by the first Welcome Event of the New Year.
On behalf of our current team we would like to thank everyone for your participation in our events, volunteering for service and support throughout 2009. It was an honour to support you and we look forward to witnessing Golden Key's success in 2010.

Corporate Wine and Cheese 01 - 27th April 2010
Our first Corporate Wine and Cheese on the 27th of April 2010. It was a great success with our members having a fantastic time networking with individuals from a variety of fields.
Our Chapter hosts 'Corporate Wine and Cheese' (CWC) events twice every year. This promotes exciting opportunities for Golden Key members to introduce themselves to professionals from various, successful businesses as well as other members within the university communities.
