Every year, the QUT Chapter of Golden Key hosts a variety of events that recur annually to help support the community, develop members' professional skills and socialise with the local community.

Community Events:

The QUT Chapter of Golden Key engages in a number of voluntary, community service initiatives provided by International Headquarters and local organisations throughout Queensland and Australia. It is our intent to promote altruistic conduct and provide support for the community that has given us a chance to become so successful in our academia.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. organise a number of events for various causes, including cancer research, teaching new generation youth and helping the disadvantaged. In the past some of our largest community events have included the 'Biggest Morning Tea' and 'Christmas in July'.

Social Events:

We also organise a number of social events to help introduce new members to the rest of the Society as well as welcome the community to a new semester or celebrate the end of a hard working period. Social Events are open to anyone within the community to attend and we encourage all visitors of our site to meet our members, relax and enjoy the events that we proudly host.

Our events vary every year based on feedback from previous events as well as decisions made by our Executive Committee. Over past years, we have experienced activities including 'Barefoot Bowling', 'Barbeques', 'Salsa Dancing', 'Social Drinks Nights', 'Cocktail Parties' and most recently, a 'Masquerade Ball'. Corporate Events:

Our corporate events, such as the Corporate Wine and Cheese, are organised to help Golden Key members improve their networking skills and establish a strong presence in the real world. These events are usually members exclusive and we encourage all members to attend. In the past, the QUT Chapter has liaised with professionals from businesses across Brisbane and the world to raise awareness of Golden Key and to introduce them to our members as potential employees. Our Corporate Relations Chairs have been responsible for a number of corporate events including Careers Fairs, Business Breakfasts and the Corporate Wine & Cheese (CWC).
